Tips: Wozaik for planning your holidays

I will take two week of vacation at the end of August and wanted to share with you how I used Wozaik to help me plan my holiday. I love trekking and hiking and I wanted to take the opportunity of these two weeks off to go back to the mountains.

  1. Choosing my destination

  2. To choose my holiday destination, I am used to browse and read people comments on the trails they have done. So, I read tons of blog posts, looked at thousands pictures, read hundreds maps… This can take hours, and if you are not organized, you can waste a lot of time. To keep the good content I found, I made a specific Wozaik page each time I found an interesting destination. There, I gathered all the content I found on this trek : pictures, maps and people advices. Eventually, I was able to easily compare the different trek I found and kept only the most interesting: I had all the content I found interesting gathered in one place. Then I made a Wozaik page where I gathered all the flights for each destination which made it easy to order my destination by price.

Finally I could easily match my favorite destination with my budget and with my vacation slot. My choice went to a very nice trek around the Toubkal mount in Morocco: flight was cheap, comments where great and pictures look awesome.

  3. Preparing the trek

  4. Then I needed to prepare my equipment for the trek. I needed a new backpack and camping equipment. I made a Wozaik page where I gathered the backpacks I found according to my budget and the different people comments. On one page I could compare the different prices and could easily make my choice of the bag I wanted to buy. Moreover, I could continue my search where I left it when I needed to switch my computer off. I also gathered on a Wozaik page the reference of the books and maps I needed to buy to prepare the trek.

  5. Gathering useful content for the trip

  6. Finally I made a Wozaik page with all the useful content I might need for my trip: weather of the Marrakech area, good places to eat, articles about the moroccan culture, places to see in Marrakech etc. I know that I can return to this page when I need information during my trip.

Wozaik really helped me to keep and access to all the content I found on the web to organize my trip. Here is my page about the Toubkal trek I have made.
